Traditional Chinese Medicine

‘Let thy food be thy medicine’ - Hippocrates

IMG_4696_edited.jpg

According to Asian medicine, all elements are reflected in the face

Wood: The liver opens into the eyes

Heart: The spirit (Shen) shows itself in the radiance of the eyes
Earth: The spleen shows itself in the lips

Metal: The lungs are connected to the nose

Water: The kidney is connected to the ears

Asian medicine offers a rich variety of methods for releasing tension and strengthening our resources. The prerequisite is a strong centre (spleen) and a relaxed liver. Too much studying/worrying and an unfavourable diet weaken the centre. Too much stress/anger/unlived visions and too little exercise harm the liver.

My work with TCM

Just as each person is unique, their diet and self-care should also be adapted to their current situation. Just like nature with its seasons, our system is constantly changing. Nothing is fixed, everything is always in motion.

As I don't like getting needled myself, I focus on non-invasive methods.

My range of therapies:
Acupressure
Acupuncture (without needles)
Moxa in motion (Ontake method)
Cupping in motion (without fire)
Nutritional counselling
